NANA letter opposing USDA Food and Nutrition Service reorganization
The USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) administers sixteen federal nutrition programs, thus serving as the foundation of our nation's nutrition policy and hunger relief services. The undersigned organizations of the National Alliance for Nutrition and Activity (NANA) oppose USDA's efforts to reorganize and relocate FNS staff as these changes will lead to a loss of critical agency personnel, expertise, and coordination, negatively impacting the households, communities, and schools served by these programs.
