Uniting advocates to fight for a better food system
In a joint call to action, the Center for Science in the Public Interest and Hunger Free America are urging public health and anti-hunger advocates to set aside longstanding divisions and unite to advance a healthier, more just US food system. The authors call for protecting and strengthening SNAP, improving nutrition security through data and evaluation, holding the food industry accountable, and centering the voices of people with lived experience of food insecurity.
