Katie Marx (she/her/hers) is CSPI's Industry Accountability Associate. She works to ensure that the food and beverage industry is held responsible for its impact on our health and food systems. Katie earned an M.A. in Health Humanities from University College London, and a B.A. in Public Health from American University. 

Prior experience

Prior to obtaining her M.A., Katie worked for CSPI as a Policy Associate focused on issues related to restaurant kids' meals and food marketing to kids. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, Preventive Medicine Reports, and Frontiers in Nutrition. In her free time, she can be found sewing and crocheting, watching movies with friends and family, or going on birdwatching walks.
