Kaitlyn Harper is a Professional Researcher in the Department of Nutrition at UC Davis. Her research focuses on building equitable and sustainable food systems, and she uses community-engaged and justice-focused approaches to address issues of food and nutrition insecurity and wasted food in the United States. She is also co-chair of the Food Security Work Group at the Nutrition & Obesity Policy Research and Evaluation Network (NOPREN). She holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, a MS in Population and Public Health from University of British Columbia, and a MA in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University.
