Ben Feldman is CSPI's Director of Legislative Affairs. He leads and oversees CSPI’s legislative and federal advocacy and outreach activities and manages the Legislative Affairs team.

Prior experience

Prior to joining CSPI Ben was a founding principal of Indirect Rates Consulting, where he provided a range of services to nonprofits including strategic guidance on policy advocacy, government relations, and regulatory compliance. Having worked in non-profits across a range of roles and over 20 years, Ben has developed a wealth of experience in non-profit management, grassroots engagement, and coalition building.

As a subject matter expert in food and agriculture, Ben has deep knowledge of direct marketing, short supply chain dynamics, and food and agriculture policy. Ben holds a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz with an emphasis in Agroecology and an MS in Environmental Science from the University of California, Riverside.
